Benton Township will be accepting applications for the following position:

General Assistance Caseworker – Part time

Position requires interaction with the public on a daily basis. Qualified candidates should have general knowledge of social service agencies in Lake County. Previous experience with Township Government a plus. Experience with the General Assistance program and client interviews preferred. Position may require other office duties as assigned. Normal work week for this position is 8 to 12 hours per week – with a weekly schedule to be determined upon hiring. Candidates must be minimum of 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Starting pay range is $20 – $22 per hour depending on qualifications.
