Voter Services

If you are a Benton Township resident you many register to vote at the township office during normal business hours. There is also a mail in application available for voter registration.

If interested in enrolling for permanent voting by mail stop in to get the form. You may also go to LakeVoterPower.info to complete electronic request if you are a registered voter. You may call 847-377-2406 for more information.

You must bring with you 2 forms of identification with a current picture ID which can be a drivers license, passport, or state ID.

Early Voting for Benton Township residents is held at The City of Zion Municipal Building (29th St. & Sheridan Rd, Zion). Early Voting simply allows the voter to vote at their convenience.

Benton Township was the first township in the State of Illinois to have Early Voting.

Voter Registration

Traditional deputy registrars are available to accept voter registration applications at most municipal or township offices, libraries, and at the Lake County Clerk’s office. Citizens can now also register online, by mail, during early voting, or on Election Day. Requirements and locations
